Our Beliefs

Bible

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, verbally inspired by God and inerrant in he original writings. The bible is the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (II Timothy, 3:16-17; II Peter 1:21)

God

We believe in the one true God eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each the same in essence and equial in power and glory through executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. (Deuteronomy 6:4; I Timothy 2:5; Genesis 1:26; Isaiah 6:8; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ

We believe in deity and pre-existence of our Lord Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, our sole Mediator. We further believe in His incarnation; His vergin birth; His sinless life; His subsitutionary atonement; His bodily resurrection from the grave; His ascension; His present intercessory work before the throne of the Father. His personal, visible, imminent return to receive His Church unto Himself at the Rapture; and His return with His Church to establish His millennial Kingdom. (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:8; Micah 5:2; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:27; II Corinthians 5:21; Acts 1:9-10; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:1-6)

Holy Spirit

We believe that God, the Holy Spirit, is a person who restrains evil in the world and convicts men of sin. He also regenerates those who receive Christ as their Savior, baptizes them at the moment of regeneration into the body of Christ, indwells them permanently, seals them unto the day of redemption, fills those yielded to Him, and bestows spiritual gifts on each one. (John 16:7-11, 3:8, 14:16-17; Ephesians 4:7-12, 4:30, 5:18; I Corinthians 12:4-13)

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God and that he sinned, incurring not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. This separation has been transmitted to the entire race of man in that all have sinned. (Genesis 1:27, 2:7; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23, 5:1, 5:12)

Salvation

We believe that the only salvation for man is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from human merit, works or ceremonies. Jesus Christ purchased this salvation with His own precious blood on the cross, and it is eternal for all who receive it, not being dependent upon human faithfulness or a religious system for its completion. We believe that it is the privilege of all who are born again to be assured of their salvation and to know they are eternally secure. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-7; I Peter 1:18-19; I John 5:10-15; Matthew 10:28, 25:46)

Bodily Resurrection

We believe in te bodily resurrection of all believers unto eternal life with Jesus Christ and of all unbelievers unto eternal damnation in hell fire. (John 5:28-29; I Corinthians 15:52; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revalation 20:11-15; Matthew 10:28, 25:46)

Church

We believe the establishment and continuity of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the scriptures (Acts 14:23, 14:27, 20:17, 28; Galatians 1:2; Phillipians 1:1; I Thessalonians 1:11; II Thessalonians 1:1). We believe that the church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the head. The true church is composed of all persons who, through the saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. This Body expresses itself in local assemblies whose members have demonstrated a credible confession of faith. Christ has instituted the Lord's Day as the day for the church to meet for worship, instruction, and fellowship. (Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 4:11-16; Hebrews 10:25)
